A programmable temperature logger can identify problems incurred with produce during cold chain storage and transit, thus providing a tool for improved quality control system for food manufacturers. Such systems can provide a complete history of the temperature exposure of perishable goods, thereby allowing problem areas to be identified or the remaining life of the product to be predicted.
